STICKAM

Stickam_default_en Still exploring this one but it looks interesting. I actually figured out how to customize and embed the STICKAM player on the e-Clippings front page. It looks as if you can upload files through a STICKAM account and then people can access those files through the player on your site. Those file types look to include music, video, pictures and even the ability to stream a live Web cam through the player.

I'm interested in this one because it adds some interesting content-sharing capabilities to an easy-to-use package. I wonder if you could build a Widget that you could embed the HTML to generate the STICKAM player in and then you'd just have the player on your desktop. Hmmmmmm.

  • "The hallmark of revolution is that the goals of the revolutionaries cannot be contained by the institutional structure of the society they live in. As a result, either the revolutionaries are put down, or some of those institutions are transmogrified, replaced, or simply destroyed. We are plainly witnessing a restructuring of the music and newspaper businesses, but their suffering isn’t unique, it’s prophetic." --Clay Shirky
