Knowledge Works Foundation has commissioned and produced the Education Map of the Decade. You can download the PDF or order a printed copy for free. Aside from the idea of using a visual map as a "conversation starter" I also like the idea that the map supplies lots of context for education. I think one reason I might like visual explanations so much is because it is harder to leave things out of the picture without their absence being noted.
