Listed below are links to weblogs that reference Seafood Selector from the Environmental Defense Fund:
During our recent trip to South Africa, we visited the Cape Town oceanarium, where we were given little cards to keep in our wallets.
These listed the fish that one could safely eat, since breeding is keeping pace with fishing, those which are starting to decline in numbers and those which are being dangerously over-fished (sadly, of course, the fish are largely different species from those we can get in the UK, but I love the idea, so I keep the card anyway!). Also, every tank listed the fish it contained, each of which was marked (on the list, not on the fish) with a green, yellow or red symbol to indicate its status on the guide. Excellent!
Such a good idea to distribute a wallet-sized guide, since we carry our wallets when shopping, even when we don't have immediate access to the Internet.
