On the one hand, we have the U.S. Air Force embracing Web 2.0 (albeit with understandable caution), we also have columnists in Forbes telling (their peers?) "Why Companies Need Web 2.0", then we find a global report on the adoption of 2.0 in countries outside the U.S., but then we have this article noting that "one in four businesses block access to Facebook, social networking sites" and that " one in three survey respondents said their companies consider the sites a major drain on worker output."
Anyone else feel like they are back in the old "is e-learning valuable?" box?

Yes, definitely. And, somebody should buy that cat a big mac or something.
