If it makes you feel any better, I had an AT&T nightmare the other day that drove me to blog about it as well, complete with AT&T Death Star imagery.

So I can relate. Different problem, but same freakin' idiots.

Cheers!

Hey, Mark, they may have saved you more than that. I did upgrade to the 3GS, but instead of having one bar at home with my original iPhone, I no have NO SERVICE!! Will be at the AT&T Store on Monday morning and will try to get a refund if this doesn't change. Wish me luck. There really doesn't seem to be that much of an upgrade other than cut/copy/paste which should have been there at the beginning. Now take a big breath...

Koreen - I think you got your phone for the low price because you were "eligible" for an upgrade since you were going from 1G to 3G as opposed to me going from 3G to 3GS.

I just hate them now. I hate any company that is this thick-headed about how it treats its customers.

But srsly, how is the 3GS?

So I ordered my phone online and didn't have to pay more for it (loop hole?). And when I went to the Apple store today for help with my phone service because the SIM card wasn't working (kinda my fault), they turned me away until Monday (omg, can't go 2 days without a phone)...so I went to the AT&T store (no line there!) and they fixed my stuck SIM card even tho I didn't buy the phone from them and they had no reason to support it. The woman gave me her card so if the service didn't connect I could call her cell # directly. When it didn't connect 2 hrs later, I came back to the store and the manager gave me a new SIM card for free and didn't make me wait in line.

That said, they open it up to Verizon and I will be off like a prom dress...because I don't care how nice the AT&T store was to me today...their coverage sucks :)

Dear AT&T:
Yeah, what HE said, man!!! Sure, I"M locked into you for another 2 years. But, ya know what? I'll gladly pay to get out when the option is available.

You must know this...right?

When you lose the exclusivity with the iPhone you will go down faster than the Hindenburg.
I know of NO person saying, "I LOVE AT&T - Totally stickin' with 'em even when I don't have too".

You must know this too...right?

I'm just dieing to know what the business decisions have been along this glorious path of yours. I'm waiting for the case study my son & daughter will be doing 10 years from know analyzing what has transpired in this decade.

Its either going to be a story of genius or lunacy.
Only time will tell. Unless you decide to tell us all a little sooner.

Best of luck in 2010.

LOL I spent an hour on the phone asking them to explain, re-explain and re-re-re-explain that policy. It doesn't make sense.

I qualify for the street price summer of 2010.

Don't hold back dude - let it all out. It's cathartic.

As a result, either the revolutionaries are put down, or some of those institutions are transmogrified, replaced, or simply destroyed. We are plainly witnessing a restructuring of the music and newspaper businesses, but their suffering isn’t unique, it’s prophetic." --Clay Shirky
