...so my son is playing on www.kidswb.com the other night and sitting across the desk from me. I start to notice these sounds coming from his computer and the kid is just cracking up. So I stroll around to the other side of the desk and sure enough, he is playing this game where you feed "The Flea" (a character from the cartoon Mucha Lucha) different food items and it makes him have gas featuring different tones, etc...FYI, the donut with the bite taken out makes a fabulous fart noise.
"We lied to you(Inspired by Cory Doctorow's DRM speech.)
Dear Media Industry:
We lied to you. In the golden 80s and 90s we told you micropayments and content protection would work; that you would be able to charge minuscule amounts of money whenever someone listened to your music or watched your movie. We told you untruths which we well knew would never work - after all, we would've never used them ourselves. Instead, we wrote things like Kazaa and Gnutella, and all other evil P2P applications to get the stuff free."
One of my favorite geek shopping sites is actually holding a techie/Haiku contest - $50 prize!

Hrrm. Are you there God?
Peeking thru my windowed Case
Yes! I'm In the RAM.

Trailing ripples in the pond.

*No kidding - this series is one of the funniest things I have ever seen. They use the game Halo to act out scripts and have managed to stage something like 20 episodes to date. I actually own the DVD. Also, it occupies a place in a new world of people using games and their associated engines and editors to create original film-like content. "We are extremely pleased to announce that Red vs Blue Season 2 will debut on January 3, 2004 at the Lincoln Center in New York City. We're extremely honored to be invited back to this prestigious venue and we hope that any Red vs Blue fan in the area will make it to the 9:30 PM show. The plan is to show Season One in its entirety and then show Episodes One and Two of Season Two. Also, the entire cast and crew of Season One will be on hand for the event, which is a milestone in itself -- we have never been in the same place at the same time. So, if you want your RvB DVD signed by the cast, this may be your one and only shot. We will have more updates on the actual program as we get closer to the event. Season 2 will debut on the web shortly after the Lincoln Center screening. We will also have more information regarding Season 2 Sponsorships very soon. Thanks to everybody for their continued support of our little cartoon. Hope to see you in person on January 3!"

HAHAHAHA! Is it a bad sign when you are sitting in your office, early in the morning, just laughing out loud?
See the rest here.
